Do you have a secret (or maybe not s secret) dream of going on a true African safari? Do you want to see the vast open spaces with enormous herds of wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, and impala roaming the savannah? The best place to go for a safari is without a doubt Tanzania and the best operator to use is African Tours & Safaris Tanzania.

In Tanzania you will find the herds of animals seen nowhere else. In world famous park such as Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire, the wildlife is richer than anywhere else on the African continent. In lesser-known parks such as Mikumi National Park, Nyerere National Park and Ruaha National Park the wildlife is amazing, and there is almost no one there. The feeling to have the untamed wilderness or yourself is mesmerizing.

In the forest of Lake Manyara National Park you will find many elephants and so many birds, so many. Birdwatchers from all over the world come to see birds in the rich groundwater forest at the bottom of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.

Udzungwa Mountains are called the Galapagos of Africa. The rainforest on the mountains is a hotspot for biodiversity and it has one of the richest flora and fauna of any park in Africa. The forest is home to many species of monkeys, a huge number of different bird species as well as butterflies and insects. Udzungwa Mountains is also one of the most scenic parks in Tanzania with the amazing Sanje Waterfalls. At the bottom of the 177 meters high falls is a natural pool where you can swim and cool off from a hike on one of the marks trails in the forest.

One personal favorite for me is Ruaha National Park. The park is 1,5 times the size of the massive Serengeti and it is home to a huge variety of animals, including many of the iconic African mammals like lion, hyena, elephant, buffalo, impala, zebra, Thomson’s gazelle and leopard. The Park has but a few lodges and still gets a low number of tourists, so you will see many animals but few safari jeeps.

So, why then should you go on safari with African Tours & Safaris Tanzania. They are a medium size safari company with amazing staff, amazing guides and a very friendly attitude towards their clients. On safari they told me, all of their clients are a part of the family, that’s how they treat you.
